Lunar
I consider myself to be an enthusiastic "astrophile," which refers to a person who has a profound love for stars, astronomy, and the endless cosmos. I have always had the dream of one day witnessing the stars in their full glory, and perhaps even having the incredible experience of traveling to space.
Due to my deep admiration for the stars, I felt inspired to create an illustration featuring a star-crossed character. My goal was to challenge myself by designing a character that embodies both the sun and the moon simultaneously.
I also aimed to refine my composition skills by incorporating a variety of elements that are connected to the sky and the vast galaxy that surrounds us. In the piece, I also sought to portray her angelic and motherly nature, which I believe the possible creator of our universe might embody.
Additionally, I embraced the challenge of minimizing the use of linework or traditional line art in my drawing, as I wanted to give the entire piece a more painterly and ethereal effect.
