This drawing was made for an art challenge on Instagram called “draw this in your style” (DTIYS). In a DTIYS challenge, artists reinterpret an original drawing while keeping its main idea and look. For this piece, I wanted to stay close to the original but add my own spin. The challenge focused on the eerie feeling of someone being possessed by ghosts, illustrating the sensation of having ghosts—or your soul—forcefully pulled from your body. I enjoyed working on this theme because the character's universe has its own unique alphabet. I included a little detail on the side that looks like hieroglyphics by using the alphabet, adding an interesting touch to the artwork.
